Are you tired of being overweight, having no energy, health issues, and trying diets that don't work?

Would you believe me if I told you I know EXACTLY what you mean?

I had been fat literally my entire life (it still feels weird to use the past tense!). I tried every diet out there at one time or another, I exercised five times a week, and I was still overweight... eventually morbidly so.

I just assumed that what everyone was saying was true: 


“You're just “big-boned.” 
“You're not fat... you're fluffy!" 
“You just have a slow metabolism.” 
“You're not fat... you're genes are.”

But the truth is, I struggled with losing weight my entire life. I would lose 20 lbs., then gain it back after a few months. I used to even go to a fasting resort in Thailand every year, drop 20 lbs. in two weeks by not eating ANYTHING, then put it right back on within a few months.

 

My health was declining year by year. I developed high blood pressure. I had “fatty liver disease.” I was pre-diabetic. My cholesterol was sky-high. When I had a physical in spring of 2018, my doctor told me I had a 25% chance of having a heart attack or stroke before I was 50. I weighed 270 lbs and although I seemed like the life of the party, I was secretly scared, miserable, and hopeless.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Then, in early summer, I stumbled upon the keto diet. It looked interesting! The more I read about it, the more it made sense to me. I studied the science behind it. I went onto message boards and started reading everything I could. I watched countless hours of video and testimonials and before-and-after photos and devoured their stories. It really seemed to work! 

But could keto work for me?

I finally pulled the trigger in August of 2018. I gave myself a year to lose 70 lbs. and be under 200lbs for the first time since high school... a goal I thought was close to impossible, but that's what goals are for, right?!?

I assembled all of the information I could find, bought all of the recommended grocery items and other accoutrements that I thought I needed, and jumped into the keto lifestyle.

Within a month, I had lost 28 lbs. It was amazing! After the next month, I had to buy a whole new wardrobe! I had gone from a 41” waist down to a 36”.

And I just kept losing. It wasn’t all wine and roses, and I fell (jumped?) off the wagon a few times, but I kept at it. I learned to start shopping at thrift stores, as replacing my wardrobe every few months was getting expensive!

As of today I’ve hit my initial goal weight... I’m under 200 lbs. for the first time since I can remember! I’m a size 33 waist; I also have almost unlimited energy, my health problems have disappeared, my mind is clear, my disposition happy… I feel (and look) like an entirely different person! And I'm not finished yet...

So yes, keto worked for me, and I truly believe with the right support, it can work for anyone!

The one thing I wished I had in the tough times when I first started on the keto lifestyle was someone to coach me through it. It was so hard to separate the truth from the hucksters trying to exploit me to make a buck. There is a lot of information out there, some good, some bad, and I didn’t know which was which.

  • What exactly can I eat? What can't I eat?

  • What is the keto flu?

  • Can I drink diet soda?

  • What are exogenous ketones and do I need them?

  • Should I have a cheat day every week?

  • Should I buy supplements?

  • What are macros?

  • Should I buy supplements?

And on and on and on…

    


I managed to figure it out, but I hit almost every roadblock along the way.

In the meantime, I took what I learned and started coaching my friends and family on the keto lifestyle, and the results have been tremendous for them as well. Justin lost 15 pounds in his first month, and is now down 35 lbs overall. Dave lost 20 lbs. and is now down 55. Martin lost almost 30 lbs. in his first month, and his wife Jayne lost 15… and they are both still going strong!
